From November to March, our check-out trips are to Crystal River, Florida. We
visit at least three separate springs -- Blue Grotto, Rainbow River (great
introduction to drift diving), and Crystal River/King Springs. A key attraction
is that this is the season manatees come in to the warmer river system
(compared to the Gulf) to winter -- if you've never dove with a manatee, you're
missing an incredible experience!
Crystal River Trip Information:
2 nights
accommodations at the Best Western Crystal River, Dive Blue Grotto springs
on Saturday, and Sunday morning we drift dive down Rainbow River. Sunday
afternoon and Monday morning we are on Crystal River in search of Manatees.
