 Open Water Course

Sea Lab uses an on-line format to initiate the course. This allows students to start the course any time and work on completing the most basic academic portions whenever it is most convenient. After completion of the on-line portion of the course, Sea Lab will arrange classroom sessions to give you a complete understanding of all of the SCUBA essentials. Then, its off to the pool for your underwater skills training.

Just 3 steps... and you're a certified diver

  1. Sign Up For Class - Come in and register and then start our online course on your own schedule, and at your own pace, virtually 24/7. ($250 including all materials and certification fees.)

  2. Get Your Skin Diving Equipment - Sea Lab requires that you provide your own mask, snorkel, and fins, Having your own personal skin diving equipment assures you of the proper fit and comfort that will make your training and diving experiences more enjoyable. The Sea Lab staff will help you select the equipment that is right for you.

  3. Complete Your Course and... Let's Go Diving!!! - After you complete the online course, classroom and pool sessions, you can join our staff for your open water dives, or plan s referral trip of your own. Sea Lab has checkout dives scheduled for every class to a variety of locations varying from Panama City Beach, and Crystal River, Florida, to more exotic Caribbean destinations like Cozumel, Bonaire, and the Cayman Islands. .

Online courses are an exciting new way to cover the curriculum when a busy schedule makes the more traditional instructor-led format hard to organize. We will continue to strive to make this course as comprehensive as the instructor-led courses that we've been known for over the years.
